Lyon ‘hungry’ to end ’10 years of unfinished business’ with India at BGT

Ahead of the India vs Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, spinner Nathan Lyon expresses desire to hand an upset to the Men in Blue

Australia spinner Nathan Lyon aims at annihilating India in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Calling it an ‘unfinished business for ten years’, the veteran claimed that he was hungry to hand the Men in Blue an upset Down Under. The five-match series between India and Australia will commence on November 22.

Lyon hungry to get payback against India

Lyon stressed for the need for Australia to win every Test series at home, especially against India. He claimed that India have shown ‘unbelievable depths across formats’ which the world is witnessing at present.

It’s been ten years of unfinished business, it’s been a long time, and I know we’re extremely hungry to turn things around especially here at home,” Lyon said, as per ESPNCricinfo.

Lyon acknowledged Yashasvi Jaiswal as a hidden talent that the Australian team is yet to encounter. He expressed his admiration for the way the southpaw batted against England earlier this year, revealing that he had conversations with spinner Tom Hartley about the same.

I haven’t come across him [Jaiswal] yet, but that will be a massive challenge for all us bowlers,” he said.
