India were served a washout in their opening clash at Wellington with the match abandoned without a ball bowled. The same was predicted at Mount Maunganui, but luck favoured India, with a full match played at the Bay Oval. Hardik Pandya’s side posted a massive 191 on the board, while the Kiwis were bundled out for 126.

As per NZ’s Met Service, showers are unlikely on Tuesday at Napier. There will be brief showers in the afternoon, but the rain should ease by the time the match begins. The temperature will go as low as 14 degrees Celsius while at the peak it will be 28 degrees Celsius.

Like Bay Oval, the Mclean Park is also a multipurpose stadium. The drop in pitch should favour pace and bounce, although batsmen should enjoy the shorter boundaries.
