Namibia’s Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton has scored the fastest T20I hundred. The southpaw scored his maiden T20 century in just 33 balls, breaking the previously held record of Nepal’s Kushal Malla. Funnily enough, Loftie-Eaton was playing against Nepal when he broke the record, and Malla was present on the field to witness it.
Other than Malla, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and South African hitter David Miller share the third spot, having reached their centuries in 35 balls each.
The Namibian entered the field with his side 62/3 in the 11th over. His destructive knock propelled them to 206, scoring 144 runs in the last 9.2 overs. He struck 11 fours and 8 sixes as Namibia won the match against the Rhinos by 20 runs.
Loftie-Eaton also picked up two wickets with his leg spin and was rightly adjudged the Player of the Match.
