Naman Ojha’s father gets seven-year jail term in embezzlement case

Former Indian cricketer Naman Ojha’s father has been awarded a seven-year jail term in an embezzlement case. The Multai Additional Sessions Court pronounced the verdict on Tuesday, 11 years after the embezzlement case in the Bank of Maharashtra in Betul, Madhya Pradesh. Vinay Ojha is one of the four accused who will have to serve 7 years imprisonment.

Naman Ojha’s father to be jailed

Rs 1.25 crore was embezzled at the Bank of Maharashtra branch in Joulkheda village, located in the Multai police station area of Betul in 2013. The police had registered a case against six individuals, including Vinay Ojha. Naman’s father was serving as the assistant manager in the branch at that time. He now faces a jail term and will also have to pay Rs 7 lakh as fine..
