With a massive global fan base, Chennai Super Kings wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni has made IPL 2024 even more emotional for his supporters with rumors that he may retire at the end of the season. Though Dhoni’s batting exploits have been sparse this season, both experts and fans have long been in awe of his tactical brilliance and explosive batting. Legendary fast bowler Dale Steyn of South Africa talked about Dhoni’s impact in IPL 2024 and even mentioned how much he wished to see the seasoned player bat more during the tournament.
Dhoni: Limited balls, unlimited impact
The 42-year-old’s low batting rank has prevented him from seeing much action with the bat for Chennai Super Kings this season. MS Dhoni has scored 59 runs in four innings, including his best score of 37 not out.
However, MS Dhoni produced a wonderful innings in the last match, scoring 20 of 4 deliveries against Mumbai Indians. It included Dhoni hitting three back-to-back sixes against Hardik Pandya in the last over.

That’s engulfed many South Africa and myself, to be honest with you, I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I seem to be glued to the seat when the IPL is on my girlfriend says that my TV is broken, it’s stuck on cricket right now IPL and watching MS the other night. That’s exactly what we want to do.”
