Mumbai batter Musheer Khan rescued India B from embarrassment on Day 1 of the Duleep Trophy opener against India A. Sarfaraz’s brother remained unbeaten on 105, playing a lone-warrior’s knock while the batting order collapsed. Walking in to bat at number three, Musheer anchored the innings for India C and ensured they finished at 202 at the end of the day.
How Musheer Khan countered Kuldeep Yadav
Speaking after the day’s play at a press conference, Musheer Khan revealed that he had received tips from Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill on how to play spinner Kuldeep Yadav. The young batter said that he was told which deliveries he could score runs off and which of them will be effective.
“This is the second time I am playing Kuldeep bhai. We have some experienced players in our side like Shubman bhai and Rishabh bhai who told me which of Kuldeep bhai’s balls will be effective and off which ones I can score runs,” said Musheer.
