Speculations about a tussle between the duo emerged after Pandya replaced Rohit as the skipper of Mumbai Indians ahead of IPL 2024. However, the two seem to have put their differences aside as they shared a warm embrace after Hardik struck to remove Shadab Khan.

Rumours of differences between Rohit and Hardik prevailed throughout IPL 2024, fueling speculations of a rift between the two. Such was the adverse reaction from the fans that the new Mumbai Indians skipper was booed at every singe venue across India, including MI’s home ground Wankhede stadium. Fans did not relent despite multiple requests from players, former stars and critics. Reports even suggested that the two did not even train with each other during the tourney, fueling speculations of the rift further.

However, it looks like all it took is one IND vs PAK match to iron out the differences and unite the stars.
