Last year, Hardik Pandya’s elder brother Krunal Pandua was also detained at the Mumbai airport for a similar reason. He was found with a possession of Gold worth Rs 1 crore and luxury watches. DRI officials found that the four luxury watches, which were of Omega and Ambular Piguet, were not declared by Pandya to Customs and no duty had been paid for the same.
While Omega watches are made in Switzerland with James Bond character as its brand ambassador, Ambular Piguet watches are often considered favourites among Golf players.
