Mumbai Attack: 13 years ago on November 26, 2008, India was shell shocked by a carnage unleashed by ten Pakistani terrorists at different locations in India’s financial capital Mumbai. Mumbai Attack: Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir & others pay homage to the lives lost
Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, India’s Test and ODI skipper Virat Kohli, former Indian opener and now a politician Gautam Gambhir and the likes of Wasim Jaffer and Virender Sehwag took to their respective Twitter handles to pay homage to the lives lost.
“It was a heartbreaking and painful time, but the spirit shown by everyone is what makes us stronger. My heartfelt tribute to all the bravehearts we lost during 26/11. Always in our prayers” wrote Sachin Tendulkar on his Twitter account.

“Remembering the exemplary courage and supreme sacrifice of our bravehearts today,” wrote Wasim Jaffer on his Twitter account along with sharing a picture of all the policemen who lost their lives in the attack.

India’s former opener Virender Sehwag remembered Shaheed Tukaram Omble who served as assistant sub-inspector in Mumbai Police and lost his life fighting against the terrorists.
“13 years since the sad day. He is of the greatest son of our soil- Shaheed Tukaram Omble. The courage, the presence of mind and the selflessness demonstrated by him on that day- no words, no awards can do justice. Dandavat pranam hai aise mahaan insaan ko,” wrote Sehwag on his twitter account.

A total of 10 Pakistani terrorists attacked Mumbai, striking simultaneously at different locations, killing 165 people. Out of the 10 terrorists, 9 were killed during the attacks while Mohammed Ajmal Kasab who was captured alive was executed on November 21, 2012.
