Mukesh Kumar released from squad for IND vs ENG 3rd Test, to play Ranji for Bengal

Team India pacer Mukesh Kumar has been released from the squad for IND vs ENG 3rd Test and will join Bengal for their Ranji Trophy game

Team India pacer Mukesh Kumar has been released from the squad for IND vs ENG 3rd Test at Rajkot. The pacer will join the Bengal team for their next Ranji Trophy game. Kumar will rejoin India for the 4th Test at Ranchi.

Mukesh Kumar left out of IND vs ENG 3rd Test

India won the toss at Rajkot and opted to bat first. Mukesh’s exclusion from the XI was announced by skipper Rohit Sharma at the toss. Mohammed Siraj, who missed out on the 2nd Test in Vizag, makes his return in the 3rd Test.

Mukesh had a tough time with the ball, bowling just seven overs at 6.3 runs an over and going wicketless in England’s first innings in the IND vs ENG 2nd Test. On an ‘unfriendly’ pitch, the 30-year-old was taken to the cleaners by English batters. After his abysmal performance, Bumrah has come to his aid.
