During the recent SRH vs CSK IPL 2024 match, Chennai Super Kings bowler Mukesh Choudhary delivered an over that stands as the second-most expensive of the season. This match, held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, witnessed Mukesh conceding 27 runs in just one over.

However, Venkatesh Iyer of the Kolkata Knight Riders holds the record for the most expensive over, having given away 28 runs against Delhi Capitals.

When Mukesh took the ball in the second over against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Abhishek Sharma capitalized on his deliveries. Initially, Sharma lofted a fuller delivery straight for a boundary, setting the tone for the over. Mukesh attempted variations, but Sharma managed to exploit the length, hitting a six and a four. The over included a no-ball, which Sharma punished with another six. Remarkably, Sharma single-handedly accumulated all 27 runs off Mukesh’s over.
