Muhammad Rizwan becomes player with most Man of the Match awards for Pakistan in T20Is

Rizwan was very impressive, playing according to the merits of the ball. Moreover, he played shots when the team needed it and remained not out till the end.

Pakistan batter Muhammad Rizwan on Sunday scripted history when he helped Pakistan draw the three-match T20I series level. Chasing 194, Rizwan played a wonderful unbeaten innings of 75 runs of 46 balls to guide his team home. He was awarded the Man of the Match for his crucial knock. With his 12th Man of the Match award in T20Is on Sunday, he overtook several Pakistan legends to become the first cricketer to from his country to have 12 MoM awards to his name.

After losing the first T20I, the Pakistan team was under a lot of pressure to deliver. They conceded 193 runs bowling first and were reeling for 13/2 at a time during the chase. But Fakhar Zaman and Muhammad Rizwan steadied the ship to ensure Pakistan were in the hunt for a series win.

Rizwan surpasses Pakistani Trio

Rizwan was rightly awarded the Man of the Match for his brave innings. It was his 12th award and the most by any Pakistan Men’s player in T20I. He surpassed Shadab Khan, Shaheed Afridi and Mohammed Hafeez who had 11 MoM awards each.
