Dhoni scored 32 off 17 balls. He slammed three sixes and two fours in the innings that almost helped take CSK close to victory. In the end 4 runs were needed of the final delivery off the innings. Under pressure, Sandeep Sharma bowled a terrific full length delivery that Dhoni could only manage to hit for a single.
Despite the loss, Twitter was abuzz with tributes to Dhoni for his efforts that almost took CSK close to their third successive victory of the season.
