MS Dhoni sports cool, new bandana, twins with Hardik Pandya in MI vs CSK clash

CSK are third in the points standings with three victories from five games, while MI are seventh after winning two consecutive games

Playing his 250th match for Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni was seen in a new avatar as Ruturaj Gaikwad & co take on Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. The MI vs CSK clash is being played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from 7.30 PM IST.

The former skipper who has guided the team to five elusive IPL trophies was seen sporting a new look with a cool yellow bandana ahead of the game. MS Dhoni was seen hugging newly appointed Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya, who interesting wore a blue bandana as well.

5000 runs loading for MS Dhoni?

42-year-old Dhoni will have the opportunity to become the Chennai Super Kings’ second cricketer to achieve 5000 runs in T20s, behind Suresh Raina. Dhoni, who has represented the Chennai franchise in both the IPL and the Champions League, has 4996 runs in 249 appearances. Raina scored 5529 runs for Chennai across 200 matches throughout his playing career.

Dhoni, the most capped player in the IPL, will become the fourth Indian, behind Virat Kohli (8006 runs for RCB), Rohit Sharma (5470 runs for MI), and Raina (5529 runs for CSK), to score more than 5000 runs for a single side in the game’s shortest format.
