Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni’s injury was something that came to the fore towards the end of IPL 2023. The ‘Captain Cool’ earlier underwent a knee surgery two days after CSK won the IPL title. Sakshi Dhoni, who is in Chennai for the release of Dhoni Entertainment’s first movie ‘LGM‘, provided an update of MSD’s injury to eager fans.

‘MS Dhoni recovering, in rehab’: Sakshi
At Chennai’s Rohini theatre, during the screening of ‘LGM’, Sakshi was asked by fans about how Dhoni was. To their queries, Sakshi Dhoni responded, saying that he was recovering and that he was in rehab currently. The video of Sakshi’s update on Dhoni is now going viral on social media.
MS Dhoni’s injury woes
Despite having to play with his left knee extensively braced this season, he didn’t think twice about skipping a single IPL game. After having surgery in Mumbai, he is expected to play again in the IPL 2024.

At the post-final presentation, CSK captain acknowledged that the ‘best time’ to retire would be after winning the title, but he has vowed to play for ‘at least’ one more season if his health permits. Even if it requires putting in ‘tough’ yards for a further nine months, this will be a ‘gift’ to his supporters. That attitude is still valid considering that Dhoni will shortly start his recovery after three weeks of post-surgery rest.
