Despite the immense success MS Dhoni has enjoyed over his illustrious career, he remains to be one of the most humble characters in world cricket.

Chennai Super Kings’ manager Russell Radhakrishnan heaped immense praise on CSK legend MS Dhoni, lauding his unwavering humility over the years. In a recent video shared by CSK on their official website, the support staff member highlighted Dhoni’s enduring humility and down-to-earth nature.

Russell painted a picture of a leader in Dhoni who remains unchanged despite the immense success he has seen. The 42-year-old has led CSK to a record five IPL titles in their 14-year history. He is also the second-highest run-getter for the franchise, having accumulated 4,957 runs at a strike rate of 137.8 across 214 innings.

“He has never changed; he has always been the same,” the manager said, explaining Dhoni’s universal appeal. “That’s why people love him wherever he goes all over the world.”

The manager went on to describe the personal impact Dhoni has had on him. “People like me get to spend more time close to him, and I will tell you, whenever I am upset, I quickly pinch myself and think of him. That calmness is always there with him.”

Loyalty and a shared ambition were also emphasized. “Even as a player and after all the success with the Indian team, I was always with him,” the manager revealed. “And he won seven trophies for CSK. He is still the same here, never changed.”

Dhoni: God’s special kid

The admiration reached a crescendo, with Russell calling Dhoni “one of a kind” and “God’s special kid.” “He is lovely to be around as well,” he continued. “You can learn a lot. He’s humble, and he has never changed. Lovely person.”

Dhoni’s influence on and off the field for CSK is undeniable. The manager’s heartfelt words showcase the deep respect and admiration Dhoni commands within the franchise and beyond.
