Hardik Pandya continues to lead the Men in Blue from the front. He scored 24 runs towards the end of India’s innings to help India cross the 150-run mark. But most importantly he scalped 2 early wickets for India to help West Indies fumble at the beginning of their run chase. Pandya shocked their Caribbean counterparts with 3 wickets to become third highest wicket-taker for India in T20Is.
The start of the spell and Pandya shocked West Indies. First ball of the game and he scalped Brandon King. A pitched-up delivery saw King driving through the covers as Suryakumar Yadav went on to pick a stunning catch. A mighty blow for the hosts as West Indies saw their opener returning to the pavilion after facing just a solitary ball.
The next batter to be ticked off the list was Johnson Charles. The one-down batter quickly scored a couple of runs after coming into the pitch, but it was Hardik who again claimed his victim. An outswing saw Charles slices the ball toward the point region, but it was Tilak Varma who was positioned there and executed a simple and easy catch.
The Indian skipper then sent WI skipper Rovman Powell who scored 21 runs. A short of a length ball saw Powell going for the third-man region as Mukesh Kumar takes a good catch as Hardik picks his 3rd wicket from the game.
