Most T20 Runs: Royal Challengers Bangalore are taking on Lucknow Super Giants in their second home encounter of the Indian Premier League. To note, Kohli has amassed 11,429 runs in 345 innings. The right-handed batter averages more than 41 in 20-over format. Ahead of Kohli, Kieron Pollard (3rd), Shoaib Malik (2nd) and Chris Gayle (1st) have stroked more T20 runs.

Apart from creating that record, Kohli achieved another milestone as he became the only player to stroke a fifty against all nine IPL teams in the cash-rich league. In the history of IPL, Kohli has stroked fifties against all existing and non-existing teams except Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

As mentioned above, Kohli, Du Plessis and Maxwell stroked fifties with the bat as RCB posted 212 runs in their allotted 20 overs. “Felt better, haven’t really done it for five months. Nice to get some match rhythm. To do it front of the home fans is special. I am certainly over the rehab, it’s a tiring routine that I’ve to go through. Hopefully I’ll be back to full fitness in a couple of months. This is a nice and big step forward. There was a bit of variable bounce,” Maxwell said in mid-innings break.

“The ball were keeping low from a back of a length. It’s direr than the other night. Bishnoi and Krunal bowled extremely well in the first few overs. They kept us back after an electric powerplay. We have to be really good with our lengths and hopefully we can continue to hit the top of the stumps. I got one over in the first game which was exciting, it’ll be nice to get to the bowling crease and then run around the outfield a bit,” he added.
