Abhishek Sharma retaliated in the second T20I game against Zimbabwe after a cold debut. Sharma made an impressive hundred in just 46 balls with a massive strike rate of 212.77. In the process, he smashed eight sixes, and now he has a total of 50 sixes in the year 2024 in T20 cricket.

With this achievement, Sharma has surpassed Rohit Sharma, who recently retired from T20Is and had 46 sixes this year to his name. Sharma had an outstanding IPL 2024 for Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he single-handedly played many impressive innings for the franchise. In 16 games, he scored 484 runs with an amazing strike rate of 204.22. That season was the reason why he earned India’s cap. It will be interesting to see how many sixes he can hit for the Men in Blue in T20Is.
