Rishabh Pant is one of the few players who can single-handedly turn the game for the team, having started his career in 2016 with the Delhi franchise in the Indian Premier League. Since then, there has been no looking back for him.

However, things changed on December 30, 2022 when he went through a horrific road accident, which almost took his life, Fortunately, he survived. After a one-season halt in 2023, he’s now returning to lead the same Delhi franchise as captain.

Expectations from Rishabh Pant as a batter

Speaking of Pant’s batting, his talent has never been a concern for the Delhi Capitals.

Everyone is well aware of his game-changing ability to strike in the middle overs. He usually bats at number 4 for the franchise and has an impressive strike rate of 147.61, which is considered above average in T20 cricket.

In the first match against Punjab Kings, we witnessed a bit of rustiness in Pant’s batting due to understandable reasons. However, it will be interesting to see how he adjusts and wows people again with his sublime innings.
