The 34-year-old from Mumbai, celebrated as one of the greatest T20 batters of all time, achieved this feat during the IPL 2025 match against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Surya’s IPL journey began on April 6, 2012, when he made his debut for the Mumbai Indians in a match against Pune Warriors India at the Wankhede Stadium. In that game, he batted at the No. 6 position under the captaincy of Harbhajan Singh but unfortunately was dismissed for a four-ball duck. Following this, he moved to the Kolkata Knight Riders, where he played for four seasons from 2014 to 2017, honing his skills and gaining valuable experience.
