Mumbai Indians’ lower-order batter, Romario Shepherd, punished Delhi Capitals’ Anrich Nortje with 32 runs in the last over at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Nortje has now registered an unwanted record for the most expensive over in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. This over also marks the sixth most expensive in IPL history.

Harshal Patel holds the record for conceding the most runs in an over in IPL history. He gave away 37 runs in a match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Similarly, Prashanth Parmeswaran also conceded 37 runs against RCB while playing for Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
