While RCB Women are the defending champions of WPL, the Red Army Men's side will be aiming for their maiden IPL title win in the 2025 edition.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru made some key additions in their squad during the WPL Auction held in Bengaluru on Sunday, December 15. Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the defending champions of the Women’s Premier League, having beaten Delhi Capitals in the 2024 final. As expected, RCB have maintained the core of their winning side. On the other hand, the RCB men’s camp also purchased several important players during the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. On that note, let us check out who are the two most expensive players for RCB for the upcoming edition of both IPL and WPL.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s most expensive players

Virat Kohli

Ahead of the auction, RCB retained three players to ensure continuity in their lineup. Franchise icon Virat Kohli was retained for Rs 21 crore, while rising star Rajat Patidar (Rs 11 crore) and promising pacer Yash Dayal (Rs 5 crore) were also retained to form the core of the squad. In the IPL Mega Auction, RCB’s most expensive purchase was Josh Hazlewood (Rs 12.50 crore).
