France’s preparations have been hampered by a bug that has spread within the squad. Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot were both forced to miss Tuesday’s training, and they are both said to be concerned about the upcoming match against Morocco.

Upamecano has a sore throat, and Rabiot is sick as well. It means that Ibrahima Konate and Youssef Fofana of Liverpool are on standby in case the first-choice duo are unable to recover in time. Konate and Fofana were called up against Tunisia, while Deschamps also has William Saliba, Matteo Guendouzi, Eduardo Camavinga, and Jordan Veretout as options.

Aurelien Tchouameni, who scored the match-wining game against England, missed the beginning of the week’s training sessions owing to a calf injury. The Real Madrid midfielder, nevertheless, was back with the group on Tuesday.

France faces a tough and resilient Morocco unit later tonight. Morocco won their group, which also contained Croatia, Belgium, and Canada, and went on to overcome Spain and Portugal to reach the final four.
