India’s star pacer Mohammed Siraj has completed 100 wickets in Test cricket. This feat came in for Siraj during the second innings of IND vs AUS fifth Test, Day 3. The pacer becomes the 24th Indian bowler to achieve this feat. Playing his 36th Test, he has achieved the milestone. In the 100 wickets he has taken till now, he has completed three five-wicket hauls in his career. Usman Khawaja becomes Mohammed Siraj’s 100th Test wicket. Khawaja was caught behind by Rishabh Pant after attempting a pull shot on a delivery angled across from Siraj. This crucial dismissal helped keep India in contention during the match.

Debut in 2020 in Australia

Mohammed Siraj made his Test debut for India on December 26, 2020, against Australia in Melbourne only, where he has now completed his 100 wickets. Impressively, in the debut he showed his pace skill by taking five wickets across two innings, playing a crucial role in India’s victory and earning praise for his performance. After his performance in Australia, he has been a regular pacer for the team across formats.

Best performance in Cape Town

Mohammed Siraj had his best innings performance against South Africa in Cape Town on January 3, 2024. He took 6 wickets, giving away only 15 runs in just 9 overs. His bowling was precise and aggressive, with 3 maiden overs, helping India dominate the match and showcasing his rising talent.
