Mohammed Shami Proves Fitness for IND vs AUS?
Shami, slowly but surely, is getting back his groove, as he is playing more matches now. In the ongoing tournament, SMAT, in six matches till now, he has bagged five wickets. In fact, he had an injury scare on November 29, when in the match vs MP, he had a bit of a lower back issue.
Taking Giant Strides in SMAT
But later, he posted his gym workout pictures, that indicated he was fit enough to play more matches. Now, as far as his participation in the IND vs AUS Tests is concerned, he needs to get a clearance from the BCCI medical team, for the same. As per various reports, the team is keeping a close eye on him at all times.
Mohammed Shami, for now, is expected to continue playing in the SMAT, as long as he does not achieve 100% fitness, for the tough tour in Australia. Meanwhile, it is certain that he cannot be a part of the Adelaide Test, that begins on December 6. Instead, a realistic goal for him could be, to keep a return date set for the last two Tests.
