Mohammed Rizwan shines in Hyderabad, slams maiden ton in Indian soil in World Cup warmup match

Accompanying his captain, Pakistan’s middle order batter Mohammed Rizwan slammed a fine century in PAK vs NZ World Cup Warmup match. Babar Azam’s fifty and Rizwan’s ton will surely make the Pakistani fans happy as the Men in Green continue their preparations for ICC World Cup 2023.

Batting with a strike rate of 109, Rizwan reached the three-digit mark in style by slamming a wonderful boundary. Rizwan and Babar carried the Pakistani charge as they took the Kiwi bowlers for a toss.

Rizwan’s fiery knock consisted of 9 fours and 2 sixes as he helped the Men in Green amass 345 runs on the board after the end of the stipulated 50 overs.

Like Babar registered his first fifty on Indian soil, this too is Mohammed Rizwan’s maiden century in Indian soil. The Pakistan Cricket Team is back in India after a span of 7 years.

The Pakistan Cricket Team got off to a rather poor start when Imam ul Haq and Abdullah Shafique were dismissed cheaply. On came Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan and they switched gears immediately. The duo went on to unleash their rampage and helped their side put up a big score on the board.

“Indian people has given lots of love at the airport, it’s just like our fans love us back in Lahore, Karachi & Peshawar,” said Mohammed Rizwan after his innings.

Following his century, Mohammed Rizwan was retired hurt. Pakistan after this match play yet another World cup warmup match against England on 2nd October.
