IND vs SL: India’s veteran pacer Mohammad Shami has been working hard to get ready for the forthcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka. The senior fast bowler posted a video of himself with the caption, “It’s not about being good at something, It’s about being good to yourself,” doing some yoga positions on his Twitter account on Monday. Shami will return to cricket action after recovering from a shoulder injury he sustained before the Bangladesh tour. Follow India vs SriLanka LIVE updates on Insidesport.IN

IND vs SL: In the outset, Shami was a part of India’s team for their ODI and Test series against Bangladesh in December of the last year. The seasoned bowler, though, was unable to play in either series due to a shoulder injury he suffered during a practice session before the 50-over matches. Shami was replaced for the ODI series in Bangladesh by tearaway bowler Umran Malik, and left-arm seamer Jaydev Unadkat was selected to the Test squad as an injury replacement.
With the 50-over World Cup coming up, the Men in Blue need their premier bowler to be in top physical and mental shape. India will host the ICC tournament in October and November of this year. While yorker specialist Jasprit Bumrah was initially chosen in the team, the selectors have decided not to include him in the ODIs against India’s southern neighbours. The 29-year old has been out of action since September of last year due to a back injury.
IND vs SL 1st ODI: On Tuesday, January 10, the Rohit Sharma-led team will play the first game of their ODI series against Sri Lanka in Guwahati. On January 12 and January 15, respectively, the second and third matches will be held in Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram.
