Mitchell Starc commences preparation for IND vs AUS Tests, spotted training with half red & white ball

In order to help the batters with lateral movement and reverse swing in IND vs AUS Tests, Mitchell Starc opted to train with a half red and white ball

Australia cricket team pacer Mitchell Starc is gearing up for the five-match IND vs AUS Test series which will begin from November 22. The Australian team, led by skipper Pat Cummins, arrived in Perth on Sunday. Starc, who is one of the team’s frontline bowlers, were spotted training a half red and half white ball on Monday.

Starc gears up for IND vs AUS Tests with red & white ball training

As per reports, Starc opted to train with the half red and white ball to help the batters prepare for lateral movement. Pace is expected to play a crucial role in Perth and the Australian team is leaving no stone unturned to prepare well. Training with the half red and white ball will also help the batters tackle reverse swing and is reportedly one of the main reasons why Starc opted for that particular ball.

Pat Cummins and co. will not take India lightly despite the latter losing to New Zealand 3-0 recently at home. Neither will the team forget the heroics of the Indian side in BGT 2021-22 when India clinched the series in a dominating fashion. Australia last defeated India in the World Test Championship (WTC) final earlier this year at Lord’s.
