Star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has snubbed hosts India and predicted that his side Australia and India’s arch-rivals Pakistan will reach the World Cup 2023 Final. Marsh, who has been in splendid form, is currently leading the Australian side in AUS vs SA ODIs in the absence of Pat Cummins and Steve Smith.
Marsh, while talking on the Club Prairie Fire podcast hosted by Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan, snubbed home favourite India and current ODI World Cup champions England to pick the Babar Azam-led side alongside the Kangaroos for the blockbuster final at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19.
Former England skipper Vaughan excluded Australia from the reckoning and asked Marsh,” Who is going to win it? India, Pakistan, or England?
To which the all-rounder replied, “I honestly think that it will be Australia vs. Pakistan in the final.”

After whitewashing the South African side 4-0 in the T20I series, Australia are currently 1-0 up on the Proteas in the ongoing 5-match ODI series.
The Australian side is also struggling with several injuries. Their skipper Pat Cummins, left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc, former skipper Steve Smith, and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell are currently nursing injuries with the World Cup 2023 less than a month away.
The Aussies have already released their 15-man squad for the event, with the notable exclusion of Marnus Labuschagne.
