Delhi Capitals all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has left for Australia to treat his hamstring tear. As per ESPNCricinfo, Cricket Australia called the cricketer back to the country after coordinating with DC. Marsh, Australia’s T20I skipper for the upcoming World Cup, missed DC’s last two games.
Marsh leaves for Australia, to miss remainder of DC matches
As per the report, Marsh left for Australia after the side’s loss to Mumbai Indians. DC assistant coach Pravin Amre had earlier confirmed the same after the MI vs DC match.
“A few of our players are injured, and the worrying sign is Mitch Marsh,” Amre had said. “He has gone for a scan and the physios will give us a report in a week’s time. Then we will come to know what the exact situation is. Whether he can [play the entire season] or not depends on the reports.”
