Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has backed England to win the IND vs ENG 4th Test and level the series at 2-2 in Ranchi. It was just three days ago when Rohit Sharma and his men thrashed the visitors in Rajkot. Following their 434-run hammering, English fans and media have bashed Ben Stokes and his approach.
Vaughan, who is now backing the side once again, was also one of their critics after their defeat last week. However, the former England skipper seems to have changed his stance on ‘Bazball’ once again and thinks England has a ‘good chance’ to win in Ranchi.
While people can criticize Vaughan for changing his tunes, his arguments do have some merit. As seen in the first Test, when the pitch offers more support to English spinners, it bridges the gap between the skills of both lineups.
With Shoaib Bashir, Rehan Ahmed, and Tom Hartley having little to no experience and Joe Root struggling with both bat and bowl, it’s not a great idea to field a spin-friendly pitch in Ranchi for the IND vs ENG 4th Test.
