MI vs LSG, IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians players received some special gifts prior to their thrilling Indian Premier League 2023 Eliminator matchup against the Lucknow Super Giants. Each player got a unique “card” that was made especially for them; these cards were remarkably similar to regular playing cards, but they featured MI players. Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera were overjoyed to have their likenesses on the personalised playing cards. The video of the same posted on MI’s official Instagram account, and it also featured the players and batting coach Kieron Pollard working out in the gym. Watch the video below. Mumbai Indians, who ended in fourth place in league stage, defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad to go to the elimination stages and earn a spot in the IPL playoffs for 2023. After starting the season poorly, Rohit’s team picked up their play later on, and they were able to advance on the final day of the league stage after Gujarat Titans defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The five-time IPL champions have failed to defeat Lucknow in any of their three previous encounters with LSG, and they will be attempting to rectify that in Chennai on Wednesday in order to advance to Qualifier 2 and maintain their chances of setting a record-extending sixth IPL title.
This year MI have been the best chasers. When choosing what to do if they win the toss, both will need to take into account the probability of a slow pitch and whether or not dew will be a factor. There are no do-overs in Chennai: the winner advances to the Qualifier 2, the loser is eliminated.
