GT are currently table toppers with 16 points from 11 matches. The defending champions need just a win from the remaining three games to seal a place in the playoff. On the other hand, MI are currently placed fourth on the points table with 12 points. The Rohit Sharma-led side have three games to play, and they need to lose at least one of these games to finish on 16 points.

MI’S loss against GT will give RCB, KKR, SRH, LSG, and RR some relief as all these teams except KKR can finish on 16 points. KKR can only finish on 14 points, and it would be tough for them to qualify as other results need to their way. Like KKR, DC also can finish on 14 points.

Meanwhile, PBKS LSG, SRH RR, and RCB can all finish on 16 points. LSG can finish on the 17 points due to their washed-out match against CSK. But all these teams will hope MI loses one game, or else, PBKS, RCB, RR, and LSG, SRH won’t qualify for playoffs. CSK are currently placed second on the points table with 15 points. Another win for them will seal their playoff berth.
