SRH vs MI: Mumbai Indians bounced back to winning ways last time out, clinching a convincing win over Rajasthan Royals. The return of Ishan Kishan at the top of the order and his subsequent return to form will be a positive for the defending champions, who have struggled for runs this season. Rohit Sharma will hope that Rahul Chahar can also return to form after a stint on the bench, as the leg-spinner is likely to be brought back into the XI. The rest of the side is set to remain the same, with James Neesham and Ishan Kishan performing well on their return to the side.

  • Ishan Kishan scored a scintillating 50 on his return to the playing XI and the left-hander should retain his place ahead of Quinton de Kock.
  • Suryakumar Yadav has struggled but MI are likely to back him for the game, with Saurabh Tiwary to follow, who has impressed with cameos.
  • James Neesham picked up a three-wicket haul on his return to the XI and is set to retain his place in the side as well, especially with Hardik Pandya not bowling.
  • Rahul Chahar should get back in the mix with Jayant Yadav also struggling to make an impact with the ball in hand. Krunal Pandya and Piyush Chawla are other alternatives.

SRH vs MI – Openers: Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan form a potent pair at the top of the order and the duo will be looking to build on their partnership. Rohit looked in good form against Rajasthan before his dismissal, while Kishan finished the job in emphatic style to seal the win inside 10 overs.

Middle-order: Suryakumar Yadav is set at No.3, while Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard could be promoted to No.4 with Mumbai desperate to get their net run-rate in order. That would see Saurabh Tiwary move down the order, with James Neesham also providing a hard-hitting option.

Pacers: Jasprit Bumrah is closing in on 20 wickets for the second consecutive season and the pacer will be supported by Trent Boult, despite the New Zealander’s struggles this season. Nathan Coulter-Nile is also set to be retained after putting in a career-best IPL performance against the Royals.

SRH vs MI – Spinners: Mumbai Indians are a pace heavy side and will adopt only a solitary spinner in their playing XI. Rahul Chahar should get the nod ahead of his competitors, and the leg-spinner will atim to turn back on his poor performances in Phase 2.
