MI Playing XI vs SRH – SRH vs MI: Good news for Mumbai Indians fans. Rohit Sharma has returned in the Playing XI after only appearing as an Impact Player against KKR. Jason Behrendorff is also back and he has replaced Duan Jansen against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Arjun Tendulkar is making his 2nd appearance after a decent start in IPL. However, Jofra Archer continues to be absent with an elbow injury while Riley Meredith has been dropped to the bench and could come on in as an Impact Player when MI bowl. Mumbai Indians Playing XI: Rohit Sharma(c), Ishan Kishan(w), Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David, Cameron Green, Arjun Tendulkar, Nehal Wadhera, Hrithik Shokeen, Piyush Chawla, Jason Behrendorff
Subs: Riley Meredith, Ramandeep Singh, Kumar Kartikeya, Shams Mulani, Vishnu Vinod
“We have to play good cricket. We do understand the challenges of posting a total. We’ve to assess the conditions. Duan misses out and Jason Behrendorff comes in place of him. Jason was always supposed to play, but he was not well last game. He’s okay to go now. It’s work in progress, lot of new guys, young guys who are getting the feel of IPL, under pressure situations as well,” Rohit Sharma said at the toss.
With the blistering performances of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav in recent matches, MI’s batting is finally coming together.
Surya plays a crucial part in the middle order, thus his return to form is a big plus for the team. Tim David has thus far been a revelation as a finisher.
Although Riley Meredith’s performance against KKR should be a huge lift for MI, bowling is a small area of weakness for MI.
The absence of Jofra Archer has undoubtedly made things worse for MI, whose star player Jasprit Bumrah is also missing the entire IPL 2023.
MI Playing 11 vs SRH: Arjun Tendulkar continues
- Despite a lukewarm debut, MI team management has shown trust in the young man.
- With Cameron Green, Riley Meredith, and Jason Behrendorff in the pace attack, MI has trusted to go with Arjun.
- MI dropped Arshad Khan in the last match vs KKR as he has only managed 1 wicket in three games.
In his short career, Arjun Tendulkar, who plays domestic cricket for Goa, has claimed 32 wickets in 24 games.
