“We have to play good cricket. We do understand the challenges of posting a total. We’ve to assess the conditions. Duan misses out and Jason Behrendorff comes in place of him. Jason was always supposed to play, but he was not well last game. He’s okay to go now. Surya plays a crucial part in the middle order, thus his return to form is a big plus for the team. Tim David has thus far been a revelation as a finisher.
Although Riley Meredith’s performance against KKR should be a huge lift for MI, bowling is a small area of weakness for MI.
The absence of Jofra Archer has undoubtedly made things worse for MI, whose star player Jasprit Bumrah is also missing the entire IPL 2023.
