- Suryakumar Yadav gives any team the flexibility.
- As SKY can take on the opponent bowlers and anchor the innings depending on the situation, he has become the new Mr Dependable.

Rohit Sharma has two options to get Riley Meredith in Playing XI. Daniel Sams had a terrible game and was the most expensive MI bowler, going at 14.20 economy without any scalp. The other one is Tymal Mills. The England pacer was the only exception who did well to keep DC’s runs in check. As things stand, Riley Meredith will replace his fellow Aussie teammate Daniel Sams. However, the trade-off is Sams’ ability to hit big shots. Meredith isn’t known for his batting and that will be a big miss for MI.
In the spin department, Murugan Ashwin made a fine debut and will keep his place while the grass on DY Patil Stadium pitch will also aid the seamers. Hence, Ashwin is expected to be the sole spinner with help from Suryakumar Yadav as part-time option.
