The five-time champs Mumbai Indians (MI) had a bargain day at the IPL 2024 Auction on Tuesday. With the purse of 17.74 cr, the Mumbai franchise managed to buy few exciting talents for their upcoming campaign.
Mumbai Indians’ biggest buy of the day was South African pacer Gerald Coetzee, who despite being termed as “hottest property” before the auction, went for 5 crore.
The five-time champs also bagged Sri Lanka’s Dilshan Madushanka to further boost their pace attack.

Mumbai Indians big release this season was England’s pacer Jofra Archer who has been out of the action. MI will also be boosted by the return of Jasprit Bumrah back into their side. However, MI still needed to find some quality pacers in the auction and they did exactly that.
