MI boy Tilak Varma ditches Team India to meet best friend Dewald Brevis in South Africa

Indian player Tilak Varma met his MI teammate Dewald Brevis in South Africa on Monday. He shared the video on Instagram.

Mumbai Indians (MI) young bridge Tilak Varma and Dewald Brevis are all-set to represent their side in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Tilak, who is a part of Team India for the three-match ODI series against Proteas, met his fellow mate in South Africa.

The Indian batter shared a video on Instagram and called Brevis his brother. He was delighted to meet his fellow mate’s family.

“Distance doesn’t change much, not even your table tennis skills 😂💙 Was so good meeting you and your family my brother, and can’t wait to see you soon 🤗 Thank you for hosting me❤️ @dewald_brevis_17,” Tilak captioned the video.

In the video, both players were enjoying a game of table tennis. Tilak was seen fluxing his spin in the nets.

India defeated South Africa in 1st ODI

India had a comprehensive win against Proteas by 8 wickets. Indian bowlers had bundled out SA to third lowest total of 116. Tilak did not get the change to bat as Team in Blue chased down the total with just two-wicket down.
