IPL 2021 Points Table: The reigning champions Mumbai Indians have boosted their playoff chances significantly, with the eight wickets win over Rajasthan Royals in Sharjah. Rohit Sharma led side has jumped up to fifth in the table, with a final game left against SRH on October 08. Kolkata Knight Riders who are sitting at the 4th spot are still favorites and need to win their last outings against Rajasthan Royals on October 07.
IPL 2021 – MI playoff scenarios: Mumbai Indians will need to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final game. A win however does not guarantee MI a playoff spot, with KKR’s net run-rate significantly ahead of them. The Rohit Sharma-led side will have to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad with a huge margin to topple KKR’s run rate. A win over SRH and defeat for KKR will see MI qualify for the playoffs.
