Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag took a dig at Ben Stokes and Co. after their humiliating series loss in IND vs ENG Test series. Virender Sehwag termed ‘Bazball’ as ‘Method to Madness’ as he congratulated the Indian side for yet another clinical performance in a Test series.
“Bazball , Batti Gull. There needs to be a method to madness. England simply didn’t have the game to match and looked clueless particularly after the second test match,” Sehwag on Bazball.
“The captain failing miserably only added to their woes and they simply looked like living in an illusion. For this method to succeed, there needs to be a method to madness, which England severely lacked,” he added.
It must be mentioned that team India lost the first match against England. However, the home side made a remarkable comeback in the series. The series truly belonged to Yashasvi Jaiswal who smashed more than 700 runs in the series. Skipper Rohit Sharma also impressed with the bat. Debutants Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan were also good with the bat.
With the ball, the spinners dominated especially Ravichandran Ashwin. He was well supported by the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and express pacer Jasprit Bumrah. On the other hand, team England also had some positives in the series but they failed to fully apply themselves against a strong Indian side.
