However, Ozil finally broke his silence regarding the matter, and dismissed the rumors as fake. In an official Instagram post, the former Arsenal star shared his thoughts about the same, requesting fans not to pay heed to any false news being shared on social media.

“I have many goals that I would like to live in Fenerbahce, my childhood love. I will not quit football until I do these things.”
Mesut Ozil’s agent had earlier stated in an interview with The Telegraph that the footballer was considering becoming an esports athlete in the future. He even went on to specify that Ozil might venture into the sphere of professional Fortnite. However, after the footballer’s Instagram post, it does not seem likely that fans will see Ozil in the professional gaming chair anytime soon.

Ozil already has ties with professional esports
