India cricket team has begun their preparatory camp in Chennai on Friday for the two-match IND vs BAN Test series. Members of the Test squad, including skipper Rohit Sharma and veteran Virat Kohli, arrived in the Tamil Nadu capital to participate in the training camp ahead of the 1st Test which will begin on September 19. Head coach Gautam Gambhir and his support staff including Morne Morkel, Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate are leading the camp.

The series will mark the start of a gruelling Test season for Team India. While most of the players in the Test squad participated in the opening round matches of the Duleep Trophy, Rohit and Virat have joined the side in Chennai following a break after the IND vs SL series.
While Rohit Sharma was working on his fitness and technique ahead of the series, Virat Kohli was in London with his family. The series will mark King Kohli’s first Test at home in 18 months. The series will also see the return of Jasprit Bumrah to international action for the first time since the T20 World Cup.
