Meaningless and untrue: Ravindra Jadeja responds to father’s controversial interview

Ravindra Jadeja has responded to his father's interview where the latter blamed the cricketer's wife Rivaba for creating a rift in the family.

Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has responded to the controversial interview which his father, Anirudh Jadeja said in an exclusive interview to Divya Bhaskar.

Jadeja’s father revealed that he has broken all ties with his son and daughter-in-law Rivaba Jadeja. Anirudh blamed Rivaba for creating a rift in the family and said that he hasn’t seen his granddaughter despite them residing in the same city.

“I have absolutely no relation with Ravindra nand his wife, Rivaba. We don’t call them, and they don’t call us. The issues started after two or three months of their marriage. I currently live alone in Jamnagar, while Ravindra resides in a separate bungalow of his own. He lives in the same city, but I don’t get to see him. I don’t know what magic his wife has done on him”, Jadeja’s father revealed to Dainik Bhaskar.

Responding to the shocking interview, Jadeja defended his wife and said that statement given in the interview are ‘all ‘one-side’ ‘meaningless and untrue’.

“All the things said in the absurd interview given to Divyabhaskar are meaningless and untrue, It is said on one side. Which I reject. The attempts made to tarnish the image of my wife are truly reprehensible and unbecoming. I also have a lot to say which is fine as long as I don’t say it publicly”, Jadeja posted the statement on his Instagram story.

Ravindra Jadeja is currently going through a rehabilation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru after sustaining a hamstring injury.

The all-rounder, who suffered a hamstring injury during first IND vs ENG Test, is likey to return for the third Test, starting on February 15 in Rajkot.
