Mayank Yadav & Mohsin Khan could get BCCI’s Fast Bowling Contract soon, confirms BCCI official

Mayank Yadav has been a hot property ever since he managed to trouble the batsmen in IPL 2024, with deliveries over 155 kmph.

A couple of months back, the BCCI came up with a historic decision of introducing the ‘Fast Bowling Contracts‘, while announcing the Annual Player Retainership for 2023-2024. It would constitute the upcoming pacers, who did not feature in the Grades A, B, C of the contracts, but would still be offered a decent sum of money, plus help and facilities to hone their skills further. Initially, as many five bowlers made the cut — Akash Deep, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal, and Vidwath Kaverappa.

But now, Insidesport has learnt, the list of five will soon see two more additions. And the two pacers to be added in the Fast Bowling Contracts will be, newest pace sensation Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan, who ply their trade for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL.

“Yes, it’s under discussion. The Fast Bowling Contract was created to encourage such young talents. If you see, we have Akash Deep, Umran and others. Mohsin, Mayank are also part of discussion. And the selectors will have inputs whether some of the young guys can be added to the contract,” a BCCI official told Insidesport.

What’s on Offer in Fast Bowling Contracts?

Firstly, the players getting these contracts, will be subject to receiving INR 1 Cr from the board annually. This is on par with what the Grade C players would get from the BCCI per year. The bowlers will also enjoy all the facilities that the other graded players enjoy.

Plus, the likes of Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan will be able to tarin at the NCA, as when they need. Permission from the state will also be not needed. In fact, the NCA will bear all the cost of their training, accommodation and injury rehab.

Why Mayank Yadav & Mohsin Khan?
