The India cricket team’s T20I bowling department is in safe hands and rest assured that we saw what they were capable of in IND vs BAN 1st T20I. Spearheaded by Arshdeep Singh, the pace department comprising of the fiery Mayank Yadav and Hardik Pandya, played a vital role in propelling India to victory in the 1st T20I in Gwalior. While Mayank Yadav sizzled on his debut, starting off his international career with a maiden over, it is now time for the focus to shift on Harshit Rana.
Harshit Rana’s debut on cards in IND vs BAN 2nd T20I?
Like Mayank Yadav, Harshit Rana reaped the rewards for his stellar performance in IPL 2024 and the domestic circuit games by being named in the squad for IND vs BAN T20Is. Unlike his pacer counterpart, Harshit has not been a victim of any injuries recently and is rearing to go, should he be handed an India cap. With India already going 1-0 up in the series, it is safe to say that Harshit be given an opportunity, unless the teams wants to do so only after ensuring they have sealed the series.

The likes of Mayank Yadav and Harshit Rana have only a few series under their belt to prove their mettle before the return of seniors to the side. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are sure picks in the XI and their return would mean a challenge for the young quicks to retain their spots in the side. The series against Bangladesh is one such one where Mayank and Rana will get an opportunity to cement their positions with their performances.
Having made his IPL debut in 2022, Harshit Rana shot to fame with his bowling in IPL 2024. The speedster finished IPL 2024 with 19 wickets to his name, bettering his record from 2023 by 14 wickets. The KKR pacer was named in the squad for IND vs SL ODIs but warmed the bench through the series. Not to forget, Rana strengthened his case for inclusion with a four-wicket haul in the Duleep Trophy 2024 as well.
