Former Bangladesh Cricket Team captain Mushrafe Mortaza has landed himself in hot waters. An extortion case has been filed against the former chairman of Bangladesh Premier League side Sylhet Strikers. Reports of unrest came his the former star was also an elected member of the parliament of the past regime.
While the political unrest in the country continues, now an FIR has also been filed against the player along with 6 other individuals regarding the matter. Charges of extortion and forced transfer of shares of the BPL franchise side Sylhet Strikers have now been filed against Mashrafe Mortaza.

While the charges are grave regarding the matter, the police are yet to make any arrests. The investigations continue as the former Bangladeshi star player now faces troubled times. Things continue to be extremely volatile in Bangladesh as the political unrest in the country continues.
Reports of frenzy continues as fans have reportedly set Mashrafe Mortaza’s house in fire. Previously, the player and his father were also accused of assaulting students during the anti-discrimination movement which took place a couple of months back.
While the protests of the students have subsided after the fall of the previous government, it is not all breezy for the former star cricketer. As investigations continue, it remains to be seen as to what becomes the outcome.
