Marwaoge kya? – Ajinkya Rahane hasn’t retired, Rohit Sharma reminds journalists

Rohit Sharma reminds India media that both Rahane and Pujara haven't retired and can return to Team India anytime

India Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma was questioned about Ravi Ashwin’s retirement in the post-match press conference. Rohit claimed that he would be missing Ashwin. The media then questioned about the other seniors like Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara. After speaking for a while, Rohit quickly reminded the media that the veteran duo hadn’t retired yet and could make a comeback.

Rohit continued in his flow of words claiming he often meets Rahane who is from Mumbai. He claimed that Pujara however remains hidden in Rajkot, but they often share a talk. After this, Rohit Sharma was quick to recover and claimed “Marwaoge Kya? (Will you kill me or what?”

Team India door open for Anyone

He claimed that the duo haven’t officially retired from the sport and the door for the team is open for anyone. The media went on to question Rohit about how the conditions have changed given Ashwin, Rahane, and Pujara are not there on the team anymore.

Rohit went on to explain that he would miss the experience of these senior players when looking at left or right in the field. But then immediately he realized his folly and told the media that the mistake. He gently reminded the media with a big laugh that the duo haven’t retired yet.
