Marnus Labuschagne dismissed in ‘bizarre’ fashion in Big Bash League after facing wrong delivery

Marnus Labuschagne falls tragic victim to weird dismissal in Big Bash League clash between Brisbane Heats vs Perth Scorchers

A terrific ordeal took place in the ongoing Big Bash League. Star Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne who plays for Brisbane Heats was dismissed where in fact he shouldn’t have been. Marnus Labuschagne was dismissed in a bizarre fashion on a delivery which he shouldn’t have been facing.

The incident took place in the BBL clash between Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers. Labuschagne took a run on the last delivery of the 10th over. Following which drinks were brought in. After the small break it was Marnus who was supposed to take the strike, but he didn’t.

On the other hand, Sam Billings faced the first ball of the new over and rotated the strike. Marnus faced the next ball and was dismissed. In such strange circumstances, it is in fact Marnus who should have faced the previous ball after taking a single in the last ball of the previous order.

“Marnus scored a single off the last ball of the 10th over,” Adam Gilchrist said on Fox Cricket.

“They had drinks and came back out. Sam Billings faced the next ball when Marnus should have been facing. He gets a single and Marnus is out next ball. Extraordinary events,” Gilchrist concluded.
