Manchester Weather Report: Rain spoils England’s party, 4th Test ends in draw

Prior to his dismissal, Labuschagne had displayed remarkable resilience and skill, scoring an impressive 111 runs as Australia aimed for a draw. By the end of the day, Australia had reached a total of 214 for five, trailing the hosts by a narrow margin of 61 runs.

Manchester Weather Report (Day 5)

The weather forecast for day five of the Ashes match is not looking favorable according to both the BBC and the Met Office. They predict heavy rain throughout the day, with a yellow warning in place for potential disruptions to outdoor events. The BBC expects heavy rain in the morning until 10 am and then again from 6 pm, with an 80 percent chance of rain throughout the day and temperatures between 16-17 degrees Celsius.

The Met Office shares a similar outlook, with a 90 percent chance of heavy rain until midday, followed by continuous rain with a 60 percent chance from 1 pm until 7 pm. Despite some brief drier spells during the afternoon, the rain is expected to persist, making it a wet and challenging day for the cricket match. The maximum temperature is forecasted to reach 18 °C.

AccuWeather’s hourly forecast indicates that the weather will be cloudy at 11 am when the play is scheduled to start, with a moderate 49 percent chance of rain. However, by 12 pm, rain is expected with a higher likelihood of 73 percent, and this continues until 2 pm, where it then drops back to 49 percent until 4 pm. Unfortunately, the chances of rain increase again to 83 percent from 5 pm until the close of play.

Given the uncertain weather conditions, this match could be closely contested, and England will need to display great determination with the ball to push for victory. The changing weather conditions might play a significant role, and the team will have to be relentless in their efforts to secure a favorable outcome.
